CHAPTER HISTORY
HISTORY OF
LAMBDA LAMBDA
The Lambda Lambda Chapter was chartered on December 11, 1982 at Paul Quinn College in Waco, TX — becoming the first Kappa Alpha Psi chapter in Central Texas.
The founding brothers were initiated into the Iota Delta Chapter at the University of Texas in Austin in the Spring of 1981. For over a year, these trailblazers traveled from Waco to Austin to gain the knowledge and understanding needed to establish and sustain a successful chapter.
The second line of Lambda Lambda was initiated into the Kappa Epsilon Chapter at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX.

LEGACY
BUILT ON
BROTHERHOOD
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was founded on January 5, 1911 at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana — one of the oldest and most distinguished historically Black fraternities in America.
The Lambda Lambda Chapter carries that founding legacy forward. Since its chartering, the chapter has produced leaders who have distinguished themselves in law, medicine, education, military service, entrepreneurship, and public office.
Brotherhood forged at Lambda Lambda does not end at graduation. It extends across generations through mentorship, networking, and a shared commitment to the principles of achievement that have defined Kappa Alpha Psi for over a century.
